8th Annual Big Bowloski Tournament

South Side businesses participated Feb. 7 in the 8th Annual Big Bowloski Tournament, organized by the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the City South Leadership Academy to fund student scholarships. Organizations granted 10 $1,000 scholarships to high school students.

Twenty-four students from 10 high schools in the South Side reached out to community businesses to participate in the bowling tournament by sponsoring lines at Ponderosa Lines, 2118 Goliad Rd.

Thirty-five teams participated in the tournament. The teams had the option choose their sponsorship, $1,500 for 3 lanes with 3 teams of 6 people each, $1,000 for 2 lanes with 2 teams, $500 for 1 lane with 1 team, $250 for 1 lane with 1 team, and $50 for individual players.
