The Mesquite, in conjunction with San Antonio Humane Society,  posts a Pet of the Week for the campus community to meet adoptable pets in the San Antonio area.

Meet Gallagher! Gallagher is a 3 year, 6 month old male Cocker Spaniel mix who was found as a stray, but luckily he was brought to the shelter by a good samaritan who knew he would make a great pet. Gallagher is very calm but he still loves to play when you get him riled up. He also enjoys riding in the car and does a great job staying in the backseat while he gazes out the window. Even though he was a stray, Gallagher is great on a leash and walks carefully beside his handler. Gallagher is most content when he is around children and would love to be adopted into a family with kids. Adopt Gallagher and make a new friend for life! While Gallagher has already been neutered, please remember to spay and neuter your pets to help ensure every dog and cat born has a home waiting for them. San Antonio Humane Society, Connecting Friends for Life. Adoption fees for dogs: This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, de-wormer, flea and heartworm prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first five days after adoption, a 14-day complimentary follow up care at any one of the participating VCA animal hospitals and 30 days free Sheltercare insurance. In addition, you will receive a free starter bag of Science Diet pet food.
