Christie Tavera is a reporter for The Mesquite at Texas A&M University-San Antonio where she is majoring in communications with a minor in English. In addition to her studies, Christie and her husband own and operate Basin Plumbing, serving San Antonio's residential and small businesses customers. Prior to joining the family business, Christie was a cast member at Disney-ABC Television Group Radio Disney San Antonio station for eight years. As Senior Account Executive, she partnered with local businesses for exclusive Disney sponsorship opportunities.
