Lupe Melendez is a junior communication major at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She received her associate degree in kinesiology from St. Philip’s College in 2016. In addition to her academic course load, she works full time as a health and wellness adviser for the No. 1 retailer in Texas, H-E-B. She works hard, planning and executing programs that promote health and well-being. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 20 years and they have two children. In her spare time, she loves to run and train for various marathons. Lupe is an active member of the San Antonio Road Runners team, where she leads group training runs. Melendez plans on staying with H-E-B when she graduates.
