The spirit and size this event has brought as the years gone by has been unbelievable, Villegas said.
There was a lot of thought put into coordinating the event, said event coordinator Rafael Villegas. He and event coordinators Alyssa Lilly and Jeanette Martinez shared their process Oct. 7 during an interview with The Mesquite.
They said they paid attention to what students wanted through conversations, social media responses and meetings with the Campus Activities Board.
“It’s a lot about what the students want to see,” Villegas said. We’re trying to always do better and improve ourselves and see what students would want to see on campus.”
Event coordinators encouraged the community, faculty and staff and students to attend.
“It’s a good time to spend with the family,” said Villegas. There’s going to be a pumpkin patch it’s just fun for photo opportunities, good for date opportunities and it’s also a good time to get away from your studies and everyday stresses that you may have associated with your classes.”
