The Student Government Association and Student Business Services have teamed up to host an event to help students take a deeper dive in understanding their student bill at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

Power Hour: Understanding Your Student Bill starts at 2 p.m. April 13 in the Auditorium. Students can RSVP for the event here

Students looking for general guidance about their student bill are encouraged to attend.

It is important that students understand what is happening on their accounts, said Saundra Johnson, Director of Student Accounts.

“Every student’s account is different, which is why we always want to encourage students to connect with student business services directly,” Johnson said.

Similar events were held in spring 2025 and fall 2025. For those unable to attend the event, additional resources are available to help them gain a clearer, more in-depth understanding of their student bill. SBS has resources on its website that include the Tuition and Fees Calculator  that breaks down a student bill and explains how costs vary based on different factors.

“We want to keep it simple and student-centered, focusing on what tuition supports. Tuition covers instruction, faculty and academic programs, while fees support student services and campus resources,” Johnson said.

The SBS and SGA want students to feel confident about their bill rather than confused by it. When students review it, they should be able to clearly understand where their money is going. The staff from SBS will join the event to provide aid and answers to any questions.
