Erik Estrada is a communications senior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and the Editor-in-chief of The Mesquite. He is passionate about storytelling, amplifying voices, and keeping the community informed. When he's not writing or editing, he enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, and exploring hiking trails around Bexar County. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a career in the field, telling stories that make an impact and bring meaningful conversations to the forefront.

Christian Meza

Christian Meza is a senior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio majoring in communications and minoring in business. Christian received his associates of science from Northwest Vista College in Fall of 2022. He works as a partner for H-E-B in Boerne, TX. He enjoys playing the drums, watching sports, and spending time with his family in his free time. His goal is to be a sports journalist after graduating.

Joel "Jewlz" Morris

Sports Editor

Joel "Jewlz" Morris is a communications junior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, minoring in business administration. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he moved to Texas three years ago. Morris currently works for AlamoCityHoops, where he reports on local high school basketball games throughout the UIL season. In his free time, he enjoys listening to podcasts, working out, and cooking. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career as a sports reporter or a high school teacher and coach.

Parker Foreman is a communications senior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio minoring in legal studies. He transferred from Austin Community College in spring 2023. In addition to being a full-time student, he works as a coach at JK Taekwondo in San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduating, he hopes to attend law school and pursue a legal career.

She received her Associate of Arts degree in May 2024 from Palo Alto College. At the end of the day, she looks forward to spending time with her family or listening to a true crime podcast. Rolando Morales

Rolando Morales is a communications junior with a minor in marketing at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Rolando received his associate of arts degree from Palo Alto College in 2024 and his high school diploma in 2021 from Harlandale High School. In the past, he worked as a cast & crew member for two years at his local movie theater and at his college events team for a month. In his leisure, he enjoys reading, watching movies, playing video games and drawing. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career as a public relations manager or social media manager.
