San Antonio City Council passed a controversial non-discrimination ordinance by an 8-3 vote this afternoon. San Antonio now guarantees equal protection of the LGBT community, as well as veterans.

District 3 Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran said she hopes to bolster a relationship with District 3 residents.
