Dear Members of the A&M-San Antonio Community:
Last Wednesday, I testified before the Senate Finance Committee on behalf of Texas A&M University-San Antonio regarding the upcoming budget request for the forthcoming biennium. During my testimony, I voiced to the Committee the grim impact the proposed budget would have on our community.
This is merely the beginning of the legislative session and the budget has not yet come to vote. In the meantime the President’s Cabinet and I remain steadfast to secure the funds necessary to continue our expansion and become a National Model for Student and Academic Success.
To keep the University community abreast of 85th Legislative Session updates, please visit http://www.tamusa.edu/news/85thLegislativeSession/. There, I will continue to provide timely legislative information pertaining to A&M-San Antonio.
I thank you for your support as we continue to champion for our beloved University.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson
President
