Create your own basket of love

By Ingrid Wilgen

Cupid’s arrow is sure to strike with a treasure made by you.

Student Activities will help students create the perfect Valentine’s day gift basket with two free workshops for students, Feb. 9 – 10.

“Student’s don’t have to bring anything. We provide all of the supplies,” said Cheryl Le Gras, director of student activities.

A variety of items such as candy, bath salts, baked goods and drinks can be used to fashion a unique gift for the significant other in your life.

Event leaders will teach students to create baskets along a theme of their choice, offering two workshops:

Tuesday, Feb. 9

11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m

Main Campus

Central Academic Building

Suite 103

Wednesday, Feb. 10

3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Brooks City Base

Welcome Center

The event requires students to RSVP through JagSync due to the limit of 20 students per class.

For more information, call the Office of Student Activities, 210-784-1329, or ask questions in person in the Central Academic Building, Suite 103.

About the Author

Ingrid Wilgen
I have worked a lot of jobs in my life: biscuit and coleslaw maker, waitress, veterinary assistant, medical maintenance technician and soldier. The list goes on. Very few of them became part of my life like journalism. I eat it. I breath it. I roll in it. Then I write. I tell stories through the lens. The more I do the better I get. Two semesters as photo editor for the Ranger, the San Antonio College paper, gives a strong foundation that my experiences as managing editor for The Mesquite will continue to build on. My goal as a communications-journalism major, at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, is to become a great storyteller. Stories are our history. It is what our progeny build their lives on. My journey is clear, keep learning, keep listening, never stop creating.
