With the primary elections around the corner, Feb. 5 is the last day to register to vote for the March 5 primaries.
MOVE Texas hosted a tabling event alongside the Texas A&M University-San Antonio student organization MOVE TAMUSA urging students, faculty and staff to get registered to vote on time for the primary election.
Anyone interested in registering was given step-by-step guidance by members of MOVE along with additional information about voting in Texas.
During the event, which was held in the Central Academic Building courtyard, students were given pizza, snacks and stickers to encourage their participation.
MOVE TAMUSA is a student organization that works alongside MOVE Texas to encourage civic engagement and give a voice to those who want to make a difference in their community.
“In reality everyone’s vote matters. One vote does make a lot of a difference,” MOVE TAMUSA president Selene Torres-Chavez said.
The last day to apply to vote by mail is Feb. 23. Early voting runs from Feb. 20 to March 1.
