Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement will host an Internship and Summer Job Fair 1 p.m.-4 p.m. March 22 in Vista room, inside the Central Academic Building at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Current students or alumni looking to find a job or internship can check out who’s hiring with over 50 employers including Marriott, Boys & Girls Club, several summer camps, Parks & Recreation, H-E-B and Enterprise Holdings.
Mysti Frazier, assistant director for internships at the Mays Center, said “H-E-B is a big and exciting one.”
Services like Haven for Hope and the San Antonio Police Department also will be there.
Frazier said the importance of the event “is to help students find and connect them with opportunities for part-time summer jobs or internships.”
Dressing in business attire is best but employers understand students’ attire while looking for work in between classes.
However, students should bring their resumes to the fair. They can visit Career Services in the Mays Centers for resume assistance
To make an appointment, students can call the Mays Center at 210-784-1356
Sample resumes can be located on the center’s website.
Be sure to have your student ID or Jag number available when you arrive at the fair.
For those nervous about job hunting or looking for internships, the best thing to do is practice introducing yourself and general employer questions.
The Mays Center staff will be on hand to check in students and will also answer their questions during the event
