Mobile Om will offer free yoga classes every fourth Monday at the San Antonio Missions to attract more San Antonio residents to the historic parks.
The San Antonio-based yoga movement Mobile Om takes yoga practice out of the studio and into unconventional and unique locations. The goal is to empower communities, one breath at a time.
Cassandra Fauss, founder of Mobile Om, wants people to know that the parks are living and breathing. “They are places you can go and do yoga or go and have a picnic.”
In partnership with the National Park Services Find Your Park initiative, Mobile Om will offer a free yoga class from 6 p.m – 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at San Jose Mission, 6701 San Jose Dr.
Fauss said the yoga classes will remain at Mission San Jose. However, this venue may change and classes will rotate to other mission parks. For any changes in venue, visit their Facebook page.
Previous classes at San Jose Mission brought more than 100 participants of all ages and skill levels. The organization will hold classes outdoors on the grounds of San Jose Mission, weather permitting.
Mobile Om will provide a limited amount of mats but encourages participants to bring their own.
Parking is limited, so arrive early.
