Friday’s Arbor Day Tree Planting ceremony at Main Campus Building is a joint event celebrating both Arbor Day and the life of Sonya Renee Guerra, a former university employee.

The State Water Plan encompasses over 4,500 projects with a range of strategies including reuse, conservation, new reservoirs, the development of new groundwater supplies, desalination, and other projects.

“Proposition 6: A Public Conversation,” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Texas A&M-San Antonio Education and Cultural Arts Center, 101 S. Santa Rosa St.

University officials and Verano Land Group’s CEO confirmed that shovels will hit soil in either the first or second quarter of 2014.
