Students, faculty and staff can immerse themselves in learning new AI skills at the AI academic research workshop hosted by the University Library 10-11:30 a.m. March 3 in Room 202 of the University Library.
This is a new workshop series offered for the spring semester with one session in March and the final one in April, said Sarah Timm, head of Public Services of Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The first workshop was in February.
Kimberly Grotewold, the AI librarian on campus, is the host of the event.
AI tools can be used for research purposes, and learning ChatGPT and other AI platforms will help students get the answers they are looking for.
The workshop will navigate “some AI pitfalls to avoid and ethical use of AI in research,” Timm said.
Every major and technological skill level is encouraged to attend.
The final session will be 6-7:30 p.m. April 7 in Room 202 of the University Library
