Mary Kay Cosmetics and Alamo Cycle-Plex are two of eight vendors promoting their services 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. March 2 at Vendor Days in the cafeteria of the Central Academic Building.
Student Activities Coordinator Gretchen Doenges invites anyone who wants to sell a product, share information, promote a cause or canvas for volunteers to participate.
“The main reason for Vendor Days is so local organizations, clubs and businesses can come and promote their products and businesses,” Doenges said.
Vendor Days, held the first Wednesday of every month, is a new initiative for the university.
If successful, tomorrow’s launch will begin a new initiative for the university and continue the first Wednesday of each month.
“Currently, Vendor Days is only on Main Campus,” Doenges said. “As this is the pilot program we may look to expand it to Brooks as well.”
Brooks Campus, located several miles from the university’s permanent campus…
“If clubs want to set up a time to do a fundraiser, we are already advertising for the event and getting so many students and staff out that it will be a good opportunity for them to fundraise as well,” she said.
Those who want to participate must complete an outside vendor request form that can be found on Jagsync. There are no vendor or setup fees.
Student Activities supply approved vendors with a six-foot table and two chairs. For more information contact Student Life at (210) 784-1329.
