Trick-or-treaters to haunt campus at Trunk-or-Treat

Students, faculty, staff and organizations can participate in a fun and safe Halloween trick-or-treating experience at Trunk or Treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 27 in Lot 3 of Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

The Transfer Student Engagement Office, Cisneros Institute, Transfer Mentorship Program and Tau Sigma Honor Society are hosting the annual fall event filled with costumes, activities, crafts, face painting, music and candy. … Read more

Rec Sports to screen student-produced movies, “Hereditary” at Fright Film Fest

Students, faculty, staff and the community can participate in a spooky film-watching experience at “Fright Film Fest” 7-10 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Ceremony Room of Patriots’ Casa.

The Department of Recreational Sports at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is hosting the event for the first time and plans to show the movie “Hereditary” along with four short horror films that Rec Sports has created. …Read more

Mental health awareness group Active Minds to screen horror movie

Students, faculty and staff can watch a horror movie with members of a mental health awareness club at “A Horror Movie Watch Party with Active Minds” 3:45-5:15 p.m. Oct. 26 in Room 223 of the Central Academic Building.

Attendees will vote on a movie in the public domain due to copyright laws, such as “Night of the Living Dead” (1968), “Nosferatu” (1922) and “Little Shop of Horrors” (1960). …Read more

Katiana Kartaltepe is a communications sophomore at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She had been involved in the visual and performing arts since a young age. She hopes to work in a creative and collaborative field after graduating. When not at school, she enjoys reading, singing and watching films and TV.
Esmy Infante
Esmy Infante is a communications senior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio minoring in women and genders studies. They are the Community Manager and Overwatch 2 Team Captain for the TAMUSA Esports program. After graduating, they plan on entering the esports industry either through content creation or as an Esports Coordinator. When they are not on campus, they are enjoying their time playing videos games, or working at the LAN Gaming Center at Tech Port.
