Students and staff seeking advice for success from Kevin Hart can attend a live broadcast from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the Vista Room of the Central Academic Building at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Hosted by the National Society of Leadership and Success, “Leading from the Hart with Kevin Hart” will include a lecture by the “Jumanji” star, offering insight into his career and how he became a leading man in Hollywood.
Although he is most known for his comedy, starring in comedic films such as “Central Intelligence” and “Ride Along,” Hart has begun a new era in his acting career, starring in films such as “True Story” and “Fatherhood,” which aim to tell the true story of Hart’s life.
Hart will dig deep with the broadcast, teaching and inspiring students with the values he carried with him to reach where he is now.
NSLS President Priscilla Cazares said the society chose Hart for his message, “The importance of sticking close to family and friends … those who help you get to where you want to go in life.”
The NSLS series of broadcasts, which began in 2019, helps attendees to incorporate steps taken by influential figures into their own lives, influencing them to reach their own goals, Cazares said.
The event will include free food along with a credit toward induction into this chapter of the National Society of Student Leadership and Success.
This is the last speaker broadcast event for the fall. The other broadcast events were on Oct. 11, with 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and Oct. 18, with Emmy award winner Kelly Ripa.
The society will host more speakers. Upcoming broadcasts are scheduled for Feb. 14, Feb. 21, and March 7, 2023.
To attend or for more information, students must RSVP through the NSLS calendar at “Speaker Broadcast: Leading from the Hart with Kevin Hart” or contact Priscilla Cazares at pcaza03@jaguar.tamu.edu.
