With the success of the fall film festival behind them, the School of Business is preparing for another series of the Second Saturday Film Festival.

Business faculty, students and community members will watch and discuss “The Paper Chase” 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Feb. 11 in Room 196 -— the large auditorium — of Brooks City-Base Campus.

“It is the quintessential college movie,” said Dennis Elam, assistant professor of business and host for this month’s film festival.

This month’s theme
Elam said the central question he will use to lead the discussion will be: What does it take to be a successful student?

“The Paper Chase,” a comedy and drama directed by James Bridges explores the struggles faced by a first-year Harvard Law School student. John Houseman won Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his role in “The Paper Chase.”

Elam said discussions will occur before, during and after the movie related to the business world and student life in general.

Admission is free and students are encouraged to bring family and friends.

“If students have teenagers, bring them,” Elam said. “School is school and setting goals is setting goals.”
