This week The Mesquite reports on the Military/Veteran Affairs program at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The six-member reporting team spent two weeks researching, interviewing and reporting on the various goals and services supported by the University.
Today, veterans and members of the military community make up 10 percent of the Texas A&M-San Antonio student body, and a significant percentage of faculty and staff are veterans themselves. We wanted to give students and readers a closer look at the programs, plus behind-the-scenes stories.
We will feature the articles here April 27-May 2, plus a video interview with Military Relations Community Support Officer Richard Delgado, Jr. These stories and more, only on The Mesquite.
Editors have also kept a pulse on local and national news for relevant stories to post alongside our issue, featured in “Editor’s Choice.”
