Time to rush again

By Oscar Gonzalez

Approximately 20 campus groups will congregate at Main and Brooks City-Base Campuses on Feb. 2-3 for Student Activities’ semesterly event, Student Organization Rush.

Student and groups, old and new, will be on the lookout for new members for their organizations. The Student Government Association, LGBGTQA Coalition and Omega Delta Phi fraternity are some of the organizations that will be on hand to sign up new members.

“It’s a way to advertise themselves on campus,” said Student Activities Coordinator Gretchen Doenges.

Student Organization Rush starts at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 2 on the first floor of Central Academic Building at Main Campus. On Feb. 3, the event moves to the Welcome Center at Brook City-Base Campus from 4-7 p.m.

In previous years, Student Organization Rush was critical for clubs to add enough members to continue active status.
