by Tim Hernandez

The final Presidential Debate of 2016 is scheduled for 8 – 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV.

Students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M University-San Antonio have the opportunity to come together Thursday afternoon for a Re-Viewing Party 12 – 3 p.m. in the Student Lounge of the Central Academic Building.

The viewing party is sponsored by The Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement and the Student Government Association (SGA).

Sponsors are offering free food and drinks to all attendees. SGA is providing pizza from Papa John’s and Dr. Edwin Blanton of The Center is providing drinks.

SGA President Erick De Luna said there will be a discussion afterwards led by Dr. Edwin Blanton.

There will be no security at the event, said De Luna because he doesn’t expect things to get out of hand. “Everyone is welcomed to attend and the expectation is that all attendees be courteous and respectful of other’s opinions.”

The event offers students an opportunity to meet candidates for SGA student senators.

Elections for SGA senators begin October 18. The ballot remains open until midnight October 21.

Students can vote for a senator on Jagsync at https://orgsync.com/home/810.
