EMS treats student for severe headache Feb. 7

University Police Department responded to a 41-year-old female student at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 7 on the third floor of Main Campus Building who was experiencing a severe headache, according to an incident report.The student was wheeled on a stretcher from the library entrance to an ambulance where she was treated by Emergency Medical Technicians, San Antonio Fire Department and UPD.

UPD Lt. Dan Barrera said he received a call from the student seeking assistance on the third floor outside Room 309 of Main Campus. He stated in the report that the student said she had a very severe headache, which had lasted for several days.

The report stated that the student said she had not suffered any type of head or any other trauma.

EMS was notified and the student was transported to Southwest General Hospital for further treatment of an “undiagnosed illness.”
