The Wonderful World of My Fridge

Contents that reach my belly

By. Allen Gross II

The wonderful world of my fridge is what makes my world go round. Everyday it is a new adventure to open the doors and see what wonderful items I can gorge myself with for fulfillment, nourishment, and curing hunger pains.

Of course to start the adventure I begin with the fridge portion and scan the contents within. As you can see there is not much food within my fridge. The third shelf with the big open spot did contain some of Allen’s homemade meatloaf, but I was very hungry before I started this assignment.

Our household isn’t really big on sodas anymore so the top shelf holds four containers that are filled with crystal lyte green tea raspberry, and of course the fruit of life orange juice. The only reason there are sodas sitting on the shelf is because my mother decided to go grocery shopping. For the record all the shopping for food is done by my father and I.

The fridge is well prepared for another dish that we, my father and I, like to cook up which would be homemade quiche. A dozen or so fresh eggs and within the second to last drawer holds the five different cheeses we will use. Gatorade for the quick on the run drink, almond joy coffee cream for those who enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, and a 2 liter bottle of lemonade.

On to the freezer portion you can see where most of my goodies are stored. Top shelf there is a thing of chocolate cookie doughice cream and freshly opened pizza rolls. Next shelf holds beef pot pies and several things of frozen sausage for an upcoming BBQ. The shelf underneath holds more sausage and the pie shells for the quiche. The drawers on the bottom all hold either some frozen meats  or a fast variety of french fries or tater tots. On the door in the white containers is filled with fresh frozen strawberries ready to be put in a blender and made into margaritas!!
