The public health program at Texas A&M University-San Antonio will screen a documentary in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m., March 19. The PBS film “The Invisible Shield” discusses the practice of public health and the impact it has on human beings and their health.
The event is free and open to any students.
Organizers will also give away free popcorn to anyone who attends.
The film explores the world of public health and the practice of preventing disease and the promotion of good health for all.
The screening will include brief discussions throughout the documentary with experts in the auditorium ready to answer any questions on the topics discussed in the documentary.
“This event is a great opportunity for students who are interested in the Public Health Program and have questions about the program and what we have to offer,” said Professor of Community Health Monica Schoch-Spana.
Schoch-Spana hopes that this event will raise awareness about public health and encourage people to take action to improve their health and the health of their community.
